  • Leg pain...? (squat related)

After dramaticly going up in weight with squats, I notice that I have pain which feels like something is pulling in my leg when I bend my legs. For example, I was on a job today wiring in some outlets on a floor of an office building and when I got down on my knees (i know whats going through your sick minds.. hehe) I noticed pain in my quads which keep me from bending my leg all the way.. This must sound stupid but like if I try to stretch by grabbing my ankle and pulling it back, i get mad pain in my quads. Fells like something pulling and going up the side of my leg. Has anyone experienced this before? It goes away after I do squats but like every day past that, when I kneel down to pick up something, I can't... lol

It doesn't ever feel like I pull anything when I do squats nor do I get any pain while squating and I always go light before I go heavy.

This might also be from leg extensions too. Who knows 8(

Dude - stop using and quit working out - you are a hazard unto yourself...

It sounds to me like you've finally figured out how to train legs and are sore from it. Every time I do legs, I can barely walk for the next three or four days.

I've always known how to train legs... I would also be a little sore every time but not like this. I did legs last night and today they are better and I don't notice that pain as much. I did stretches a little bit more after my workout which I think helped.

I didn't mean that as an insult. I just meant that constantly increasing the weight and intensity of exercises has a great impact on soreness, and therefore new gains.

A proper warmup and cooldown, which includes significant stretching, helps my DOMS and leg recovery significantly.

oh sorry, I didn't know what you meant then. I've also been doing some stretching the days after with some cardio. I not only have this problem with my legs but with my triceps as well when I do skull crushers. Most of it's like you said, the added weight because this is the farthest I've been into bodybuilding and I'm noticing alot more changes in my body.
