  • is stretching important

i dont really stretch out before working out, i just do 1 warm up set for the first exercise i do. does this have any bad effects in the long rong. people tell me its important , then others say its not a big deal, so just wanna see what you pro`s got to say.

yes, the benefits of stretching are immense. its favourable to stretch while your muscles are already warm. personally i do 5 minutes of light cardio before i stretch. i also stretch in between sets (not a full stretching routine, just a little for the muscles im working). this allows more blood to get to your muscles, meaning better pumps and most importantly, more nutrients to your muscles.

I've noticed i've lost a lot of range of motion from not stretching as well. It seems to be coming back now little by little.

Don't stretch before you workout. Your muscles are like rubberbands--they're better to stretch when they're warm. So, stretching between sets and a good amount of stretching when you're done is very beneficial. I've noticed the biggest difference with a good cooldown and stretching for almost 15minutes after a leg workout. I have less stiffness and maybe even better recovery time if I stretch after the workout and usually even the following days. You will definitely lose range of motion if you don't stretch.

Listen to this dude. I started stretching after a post he made about it and my legs thank me tremendously soon after.
