  • Motorised vs. non-motorised elipticals

so i finally convinced my 55 year old dad to buy an eliptical cross-trainer to park in front of his tv. he's been shopping around and says that the non-motorised ones are much cheaper than the normal ones. does any one know if these are worth while? he has pretty bad joints if that matters.

i have the life fitness x9 and love it have had if for about 2 years maybe a lil longer yea its one of the more expensive pieces on the market but its incredible way to burn fat with very low impact and seems to give me a better workout then a bike....also its alot smoother and easier to use than the cheaper ones in most of the ymcas if youve ever seen them.....take a look at them i think liesure fitness and omni fitness sell them
