I would say to rest for sure but if you are gonna do it anyway just warm up REALLY good and see if some movements dont hurt. Ive hurt my shoulder before and found that some movements hurt, some didnt, odd stuff. Seriously though, rest, that can be something you live with forever if you mess up too bad.

soooo...i went to the doctors yesterday...it took a while to finally get a chance to go, but i finally did...he went through a series of movements with me and i told him my problem...and just my luck he said that there is a chance that there might be a tear in my rotator cuff  i was really hoping that it wasnt this because from what i hear it is really serious...he prescribed me naprosyn 500 mg 2 a day and flexoral for 2 weeks and if its not better by then he is going to give me an order to get an MRI...hopefully it doesnt come to that...and even worse, go further as to getting surgery...so im gonna pray that it doesnt come to that and that i will heal up soon so that i can get back to lifting...
well, pray for me...and wish me luck!...im gonna need it...

Definatly take the meds, give it the rest it needs. This is your chance to let it heal itself. If you have to take further measures you will really feel bad. Good Luck.Originally posted by Mr.Mafiososoooo...i went to the doctors yesterday...it took a while to finally get a chance to go, but i finally did...he went through a series of movements with me and i told him my problem...and just my luck he said that there is a chance that there might be a tear in my rotator cuff  i was really hoping that it wasnt this because from what i hear it is really serious...he prescribed me naprosyn 500 mg 2 a day and flexoral for 2 weeks and if its not better by then he is going to give me an order to get an MRI...hopefully it doesnt come to that...and even worse, go further as to getting surgery...so im gonna pray that it doesnt come to that and that i will heal up soon so that i can get back to lifting...

You need to focus on letting your shoulder heal completely and not on getting back into the gym soon. Not trying to brow beat you here, but you really need to get that thought out of your head, cause it's going to make you push yourself to do what your shoulder is not ready to do. Seriously, if you don't let it heal properly, YOU WILL NEED SURGERY EVENTUALLY. And that's a fact.Originally posted by Mr.Mafiosothanks for the good wishes meat12 and shibby...
im definately gonnna let it rest and looking forward to getting back into the gym soon...
thanks
