  • full body circuit

ive done this circuit at the end of the week for about 3 weeks now. its great. i wanted to put it up to see what you guys thought.
legpress, curls, bench press, tri press down, lat pull down, cruches, side raise. basically you do 20 reps in a minute. each rep has to be 3sec so you get to a minute. 20 sec rest inbetween sets and 60 sec once your done with all seven sets. you go 3 times through. i have been getting great pumps with this. thought you guys might like it.

is this what you do every workout ,or do you switch it up to hit diffrent parts of the muscle?

if it works for ya. do you do any cardio by itself? carefull of overtraining....but this cardio/weight thing might be a shocker but.....not something id do! by the end of the week of training heavy with just weights is enough for me -it be overkill! unless its calves or something i feel i need to work on. my circuit workouts an my heavy weight workouts are kept seperate thats just me."not saying its bad to mixs them up like you said its just not for me now". i say this cause i can overtrain my body really easy and learnd that the hard way.

I always get confused when I hear people say they do a "circuit" workout to keep their heartrates up - I'm constantly struggling to keep my heartrate DOWN during a "normal" workout - the last thing on my mind is trying to keep it up because it stays high when the intensity is where it needs to be in a "normal" workout - very confusing to think a "normal" workout wouldn't push you to that same type of limit - just my opinion though...

thats true a normal work out does get your hr up but with this theres pretty much no rest. i get my hr way up with a normal wo. i dont know i get a good pump with it. i do run but not when i do this wo. it just something different i guess.

I'm not judging you bro - I think ALL workouts have their benefits/weaknesses - I just can't rationalize running the circuit thing for very long with what I'm trying to accomplish - it's just a matter of different strokes for different folks my friend - I was only throwing my two cents out there since you asked for it...

On a serious note, if you look at training routines for the military, it's a total body routine, not that dissimilar to the one you've shared. And I seriously doubt if you'd find harder, tougher people anywhere else on the planet.

yea but like i said i only do this once a week after i have trained all other body parts. i cant get to the gym as much as i like to so this way it allows me to hit everything twice in a week. even though its only 3 sets each bodypart the fact that your doing it so slow give me a good pump.
