  • Tennis Elbow?

My training is going great but I have hit a small snag. Tennis elbow so bad that is shoots pain. I have a brace on now and massage it all the time. I take Ibuprofen when it gets bad. Also had to change my routine to a less intense. I guess I'll just try maintaining my size till I heal.
Kinda looking for more ideas into healing it. I can ignore a ton of pain and think thats a problem cause i don't stop just cause I hurt a little.

I'm not sure what you know about the injury, but the only real way to make it better is too rest it so the tears can heal. If that doesn't work then surgery is required. As for an idea to help while training is try a wrist brace on some exercises. I think it's called using a counter brace. You can use it on exercise like curls and some tricep exercises. The idea is that the point of pressure will be spread more through your forearm and less on the joints.

Ok been using brace. Had to cut down my back and Bi-cept routines. On a less intense routine basic one mucles group a day. Training other things more like my abs legs which do need work. Thanks

stop benching 3 days a week... its an overuse injury like shib said.

maybe its time for a cortisol injection - see a doc

do you play tennis or is this a pure weight lifting injury...you only have to look at one word "over-training" (say it with me bouncer, lol). take weeks off till your pain goes away and cut your training by 2/3 in frequeny and volume and then work back. don't work through injuries and buy into that whole "no pain, no gain" crap. be smart you only get one body.
