i used to do em with my old split. ill start em up on shoulder day in a few weeks. great way to get the adrenaline flowing in the gym and it scares the old people at the Y.

haha well i have two different memberships actually. got one in my home town at the Y because they are the only ones that have a deal for out of town college students. 100 bucks for the whole year. so u get the 3.5 months of summer and all of your holiday breaks, various weekends, spring break, and whenever else i happen to be home. but when im at school, which i will be back in a few weeks im at a real gym. i miss it....
I'm training with a guy at the moment with little experince and after doing three weeks of 5 day splits just to get his mind in the right place for each excercise, we did 7 sets of ten reps clean and press from the floor. We both loved it, its old School and really gets the whole body moving, especially good for the core. There's something a bit special about bringing all the muscles into play and its a much more active movement than single bodypart stuff, feels more real life and sporty somehow.
when we'd finished we just did 15 mins on the eliptical trainer but we were already sweating buckets and I was only using a plate each side, trust me it was plenty for reps.
he really doesn't sway forward very much so I wouldn't think it is very taxing like that. i have seen many power lifters swaying all over the place though.
at first glance it looks like prro form or something but its not, he's working up to scimulate taking it from part way through the full clean and press.
full clean and press is great for the whole body but it may be that he did like squats a day before and deads before that.
the hang clean appears to be a good starter for shoulders since you effectively get upright rows and press in one

ya, i just mean that the way he was doing it was avoiding certain muscles and not as stressful on the lower back.
i wouldnt bother doing them, great way to injure yourself or put adittion stress on the lovwer back /spine. if you feel the need then go ahead. his form isnt so good and the w8t isnt that impressive...fb players in high school do the same w8t
I think I could do that weight actually but the point is a clean and press workout is a great excercise for variety. I think its a good one if you want to change things up on shoulder day, have had some time off training on holiday so first workout back or are on holiday. I found it fun when I did it and quite a cardio strain as well.
I'm sure control could put it with some other movements and develop a very basic two day split combo say doint it with deads and bench one day and saving the other for squats.
That would be good for people who have a sport so don't want a 3/4 day split but need to get the strength training in Personally I'm just getting so bored lately of single movements, the full clean and press from the floor felt much more athletic.
