    How long after your post workour shake do you guys eat? I typically eat about 45 mins later. Thinking about it today, it seems like a lot of calories to bring in in an hour time frame. A little over three hundred cals in the shake, and approximately the same in the meal. SO i was just curious how long everyone waits.

    Usually about 45 minutes for me too. My stomach is usually full for about 45 minutes after I eat so I at least wait until I don't have to force it down.

      I usually eat within 30min-45min

      my meal contains 7-8oz of chicken, beef, lamb, fish, goat (usually what ever i feel like eating) a complex carb, and mixed vege's

          A shake with 300 cals would count as a meal. I would wait 2hrs before eating again

              your saying wait 2 hours after your post workout meal? that's to long IMO. the body uses up that protein and carb shake almost immediately.

                my post workout shake has 50 grams destrose, 30 grams whey protein

                  Well Whey protein only takes a hour to digest but most other forms can take up to two hours.

                      lol, my dad find's goat meat at Halal meat stores

                      There is one near my house and it is Iranian owned, and he has these types of meat..

                      i occasionally will eat a head of a lamb (no joke)

                      bascally boil the head with fresh vegetables, add in the head, boil and eat

                      I eat that very rarely, but when i do i eat the brain, tongue, eye balls and some other muscles inside the skull....quite the Iranian delicacy.

                        My PWO shake usually tops the 700 calorie mark so I spread it out over the course of an hour - I typically eat a whole meal consisting of about 50 grams of protein and 75/80 grams of carbs about an hour and a half after my workout (30 minutes after I finish my shake)...
