  • working out am or pm?

first i should start by saying i am NOT a morning person at all. i'm the kind of guy who likes to sleep an extra 5 minutes if i can. so here is my problem. i am gone from 8am to 9 pm(hours change daily but thats roughly the the time frame) working in different places so i am never in the same town. do you think it is better to wake up early and workout first thing or hammer out a session when i'm dead tired after i get home from work?
i'm trying to lean out if that matters and i'm planning on doing a push/pull\legs split and i'm trying to work it out so i only lift 3 or 4 days a week.
also i should add that sometimes i stay in hotels for a couple weeks at a time because i work away from home. any thoughts?

which one do you think i am going to say? lol. a workout when you are dead tired and physically drained is worthless.

that's what its all about bro. you have to decide if you are going to be the guy that is willing to do what it takes, or if you are going to join the masses and say "i am to busy" and look like shit. :)

What kind of work do you do? Personally I have more energy to workout after an 8 hour shift than I do first thing in the morning.

i work in recycling as in crushing cars. theres no such thing as an 8 hour shift with this job. but i agree with you, before i starting this job, i to had an 8 hour a day job and worked out everyday after work with more energy than i would have in the morning, but that simply isn't the case anymore.

Just do the old "Every which way but Loose" workout and carry around some engine blocks and tranys maybe press a rear end on occasion that way you can get paid to work out.
(that movie reference is going show how old I really am)
