Hand grips for forearm strength/size??

So I realized that my job consists of sitting on the fucking phone for 8 hours at a time, I'm only typing about half that time. So I figured when I have extra time with my hands, why not do something for my forearms... Are those hand grip things that you squeeze worth a shit? They are only like 3 dollars. If anything they will help pass the time.
