the inside of my left elbow hurts pretty bad - once i get warm i am good but the first couple sets of chest or shoulder s absolutly kill me

any ideas on what it could be -- it just started a few weeks ago

I have the same situation. I went to the orthopedic doc, found nothing wrong except for some inflammation. I took a week off, it went away, but came back shortly after. I feel it during presses and skull crushers. I just warm up extra, and no real problems,.

get it time to time...its most likely inflammation due to overuse ... kinda have to "nip it in the bud" or it will nag you

      this is what i did:
take NSAIDs (ibuprofen) - 2 tabs a couple of times a day
ICE it immediately after training for 20mins
Get a good warmup and aviod heavy tricep work..
i personally wouldnt take a week off for just that but rest would help its better to work through it.... if it gets painful cortisol injection may help if you want ot go that route.

I have had the issue for over a year. It hurts like hell when i warm up, but after my first few sets, it eases up a bit. Doc said if it doesn't get worse, I don't have to do anything about it

Agreed sounds like a little touch of tendinitis.

Im sure it is no bg deal but it might lead to bigger problems. I had the same symptoms but on my outter elbow. It started hurting more and more the more I grappled It got so bad I stoped doing back and Bis. Then it got so bad I couldnt grapple. Went to Doc got cortisone(sp?) didnt work, Got MRI and my tendon was pullin chunks of my bone off. This was caused for just plain over use. I just recovered from the surgery last week and all is good so far.
So although it may be nothing like I had be carefull. We move alot of weight all the time for many years shit need to rest from time to time.
