  • The importance of a training partner...

I've been training alone for a while now. Besides the obvious setbacks like having to stop certain lifts before failure... do you guys think getting motivated is a little tougher without someone training with you?

I've never had a problem getting to the gym, and I put everything I have into it every time. But I still remember my most intense workouts being back in college where there were 1 or 2 other guys in the gym too, and we were keeping eachother motivated. Thoughts?

training partner is good. Just make sure you two are on the same level for lifting. My 1st training and I had similar goals, and we were lifting about the same. We were aiming to out lift one another every week.

My latest training partner was SHIT.... Dude was 21, couldn't lift for shit.

Didn't have much motivation and i wasn't gaining as fast.

Bottom line, if you get a partner, make sure he/she is around the same with you.

I train better without a partner. Most of the time training partners offer up a conflict in training regimen do to lack of knowledge. I like to do what works for me.

The dude I'd be training with is a good friend of mine and is a little more knowledged than I. Also a bit bigger. So he wouldnt be slowing me down or anything.

On that note though someone that was smaller than me wouldn't bother me too much either. Just because you have to change some weights around doesn't mean much to me as long as they are putting in effort.

Prefer a training partner - but a male. I don't like the way alot of women train, and I prefer to train heavy the majority of the time.

if that were your motivation you wouldn't be running tren for 6 months and sucking down candy bars.

shut your ass up. you are a meat head just like the rest of us weather you want to believe it or not.

Just because I'm running tren for 6 months does not mean I will not live that long:slap: Since when did you become Doctor bouncer? I do like my candy, now leave me alone punk:D

i train with 2 people in the offseason - i do prefer to train by myself when i am in show zone -- i am not very nice to be around anyway -

FB , i have trained with a couple figure chicks [well ones doing the bbing now ] they busted ass - the places i use to put my hands on them to get them to focus on that area lol never crossed my mind as being anything but training -

when i am in training mode that all i think about - next set next rep -
