  • Nekrawolf crossfit questions......

been training at the local crossfit for the past few months and just have some questions that hav been boggleing my mind.

i am assuming the main website workouts of the day are put together for a reason. as to not overtrain and give you a fair amount of rest for main bodyparts after say a squat or muscleup wo.

at my affiliate here they tend to look at workouts such as yesterday (5 sets 5reps back squats) and monday(30 muscleups) and say that its not enough and come up with another wo that will imo cause you to overtrain in certain areas and not give you enough recovery time for when the met-cons come around again. hope this makes sense.....

i now that what i do is ultimately up to me just wanting to get your insite on this being the guru on crossfit. thanks

the main site WODS are developed with the elite athlete in mind, and are supposed to be supplemental to sport specific training. Is your affiliate scaling the workouts for you, or are you doing them as RX?

Sorry for the delay in answering.

they werent telling me to scale anything just sayin try it. i eventualy started using the brand x scale and it started gong better. havnt been in a month or so honestly i was starting to feel banged up and alot of small old injuries were getting worse.

after readin alot on the cf forum i was really just questioning the way these guys were doing some things. seemd contradictory to some main page stuff. but i guess everyone has there own way of doing things

Wow, I cant believe they werent scaling you from the get go. Be consistent with the scaling and the workouts.
