  • Squats in the workout - first or last?

    Do you squats first in your workout or last or do you mix it up monthly so you don't hit a plateau?

    first after a light warmup.

      Since I don't go as heavy as I used to now I do them in the middle some place.
      I might do some thing like this.
      Super set leg extensions and lying leg curls.
      Smith machine or dumbbell lunges.
      Squats.
      seated leg curls.
      Dead lifts.

          I think fist is best when energy levels is highest. However I have gotten good results doing them last when I had a brief lower back problem and was unable to go as heavy as normal.

            I'd love to squat last, use less weight, less stress on the joints Lee Labrada style.

            Problem is it does nothing for me, I warm up with light leg extensions and ham stretches and go right in, Hacks these days

              Squats are the best excerise for growth so they deserve the most attention. Do them first after warming up.
