  • Got the ok to do legs

Saw my surgeon today, he gave me the ok to do leg excercises. Last time I did them was in January. I am gonna be squatting like 135lbs.

    tip, dont jump into squats.

start out with machine presses etc. build the strength up slowly.

Thanks for the tips, I will make my first day very light just to get the motions back down.

and while I know your going to be eager to get that weight back on the bar, don't go to fast. Muscle memory will allow you to move up quickly, but it's common for form to slip when increasing that fast.

That is a good point, I am definatley going to take it easy for awhile, I do not need to mess this up again.

Worked out legs saturday, did leg press, calf raises, squat machine, standing calf raises, and leg curls. 4 set x 35 reps for each exercise. Could barely hold my weight up this morning. Ate a hug breakfast, stretched my legs out and felt great all day.

Work on postural alignment, and make sure adductors and abductors are strong enough to stabalize any weight.

You dont wants any uneven loading of the meniscus, as that s a very common injury when getting back into the game.

What portion of your leg was hurt... I am so out of the game

My legs had the usual soreness, the only area I have to be careful is doing calf exercises, I over did it one day, and was not walking to well the next couple of days, it is amazing how long it takes for all the tendons and ligaments to loosen up.
