The kind of day you think will be a good workout but you get in there and just dont have it mentally of physically. You push through the workout but it dosent feel like your doing anything. You can blast your headphones but your not hearing the music... Sucks. Should have stayed home today.

Yea, sometimes it's better to just take a day off.
You'll make up for it eventually. Take yesterday, I had done chest and tris Wed and I was going to take Sat off but my workout buddy calls and gets me all amped up. I could feel that I was still a little sore but we went in there and hit it hard and I felt great.
Sometimes its better for your sanity to say screw the schedule and enjoy it. Kind of like a cheat meal.

If I miss a workout even if I am not into it I feel like crap for missing the workout and my wife will say (without knowing) "Did you workout today?" I say "no felt like crap" She will say"you better go do it" LOL she can't stand to be around me if I miss the workout. Hey, even if it wasn't the most intense workout at least you did it. And consistency counts for a lot . I don't believe you can make up a workout even if you do it on a different day it is still a miss in my book.

very rarely happens to me, I usually know what I'm capable of and pic the days to really push it, I usually know right off what sort of length and intensity I'll go for by the way I feel,
Worst for me are aches and pains if my body is just plain run down I get aches and pains, so I just cut the workout down, no more throwing up for me these days I'm done with that

well thats part of it. my shoulder that i had surgery on only a few months ago is still in the healing process. i can train but if i push it over the top i pay for it for a few days. it was aching and just fucked up my mental state.Originally posted by Mr incredible View Post

is it all movements or what, or not every week just now and then, I would of thought your workouts should be structured something like this in the healing stage;
