I have really been trying to take Bouncers advice on the 3 sets per exercise but I went all out tonight. I feel so good and strong right now 3 sets dont seem like shit. I started out with flat bench couple warm ups then the first set was 10 perfect reps. Then i did 5 sets for 5 reps then started my way up incline and before I knew it I did like 14-15 sets of bench presses. Finished with 3 sets pec deck 10-12 reps, it was a good workout. I was reading the other day about the old 10 sets of 10 reps bench press to shock the system, reminded me of High School...

I tend to respond best to high volume workouts with moderate to heavy weight, but I have been training for many years.

It seems to be what I need. Low volume produces good strength gains for me, but my mass starts shrinking. And I don't have enough mass to be able to afford losing any.

just to be clear, i never told him "low volume".

biceps for example i told him to do no more then 3 exercises for 10-12 reps per exercise.

its not like i said do a set of curls and you are done. lol

yup, the smaller the muscle the fewer sets required.

Shocking. Are we talking one set for each of three different biceps exercices here?
