Alzheimers is caused by a build up of amyloid plaque in the brain, both Ibuprofen and melatonin inhibit amyloid production. It has been know for quite some time that ibuprofen slowed the progression of the disease. Life long ibupropfen users have a far lower incidence of Alzeimers than non users. Right now major research is being conducted by major pharmaceutical companies in search of stronger amyloid plaque inhibitors.
