Look Chris, I'll be blunt. You seem to perfectly content coming on here and complaining endlessly about your diet but you refuse to do anything about it. Maybe it is just as well - carb cycling needs some serious discipline and perhaps it is not for you. Good luck - maybe you'll find something that will work for you one of these days.
 You crack me up man, and you have no idea what you are talking about. I don't learn things by reading them in a book. That is not the way I best absorb information.

I have no idea what I am talking about... LOL...

Sounds good buddy. You keep coming here and complaining about not losing weight. You don't absorb things from a book? Did you say you graduated from college? Jeez... whatever. I am done here. Can't say I didn't try to help. :tired:

In all seriousness - what is the plan then bro - you post a lot about your diets / training and the belly fat / abs is a constant deal. You also talk about wanting to be a beast - well you can't be everything over night. You posted pics - you are plenty lean enough, why not just try to clean bulk, let your body respond to that for awhile, get the mass you are looking for and then consider the whole abs thing. It's your body, you want what you want, I've never read this book so I have no comment on it. But just an idea - maybe a switch of pace would do you some good instead of sweating the whole ab deal around the clock. Shit man some of the dudes with bests abs I've seen got em doin deads and squats, never trained them in there life. Just a thought bro.

I do cardio because a lot of people say it is going to pull the bf off. I can post up my new diet. Its simple:

            Meal 1 - 8:30am: 6 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, 1/2 cup oatmeal
Meal 2 - 11:30 am: 6 oz chicken, 1/4 cup peppers, 1 cup broccoli, about 2 cups of Romain lettuce, 1 small red potato
Meal 3 - 2:30 pm: Same as above
            Meal 4 - Between 4:00pm and 4:30pm: Pre-workout (1 scoop whey, Creatine w/ green tea)
Meal 5 - Between 6:30pm and 7:00pm: Post Workout (1 scoop whey, Apple or Banana)
            Meal 6 - 7:30ish: 6 oz turkey/steak/fish, 2 cups of veggies
Meal 7 - 10pm: 2 whole eggs, 2 egg whites or 1 scoop casean protein

My cheat meal is usually on leg day. Some sort of past or pretzels or something. Not a ton of them, maybe a handful.
You have a pretty good diet execpt the shakes! you eat every 3 hours witch is perfect. Are you realy hungry before your next meal comes? what do you drink? only water?
If you are not loosing on that diet you are gonna have to cut cals back? Ditch the shake before workout and make portions smaller.

How long have you been with this diet and that much cardio? You cant have been at it to long cuzz it just dont add up?

This diet is about 2 and a half week old. I actually upped calories cause I wasn't losing and I refuse to believe I should have lowered calories due to my activity level.

My diet, I can just never figure it out. Its like, I always want to cut down to almost no calories like Scrum suggests on a carb cycle diet....but I don't think bber's that to cut.

And in response partly to you, AOW, the reason I don't gain is because Im not afraid I won't be able to. IE I know I can gain muscle mass easily, I just want to master cutting for things like shows, etc. Thats why I would love to see a 12 week show diet/training regiment.

I'm not saying you can't / don't gain well bro - just trying to suggest shocking up your body and giving it a break from the low cal / dieting you've been doing. Seems like you've been on the same path for awhile here, the one area you haven't been able to shed was the belly fat you mentioned. I was just thinkin it's winter and all, why not try to clean bulk THEN try to cut with one of the diets you've worked out that have done everything in the past aside from the belly fat. This seems like you are spinning your wheels when you could be putting on some solid gains while it's cold and shirts are on. Know what I mean?

That's not what I said. The problem is that you are selectively reading what you want and keep saying things like "I don't think you're supposed to do this or that."

The thing is that you don't know about this stuff and you are refusing to listen. The key word is carb CYCLE. I never said you should cut to near zero calories on a carb cycle. In fact, cutting calories to about 50% of maintenance is what's recommended in Lyle's method and never below about 1200 Kcal regardless of what your maintenance calorie level is.

Moreover, you will not lose muscle as long as you keep your protein intake to about 1.5g/lb of lean body mass during your low carb phase. If you cut calories and keep your protein level up, in combination with appropriate exercise that depletes the glycogen from your muscle and liver, you can get your body into ketosis. This only works for 2-3 days before your body wises up and shuts down, so then you bump back the carbs and replenish the glycogen in your muscles to allow for musle growth.

All this is explained in Lyle's book. You can also get similar information by hiring a trainer (who hopefully knows what he is talking about). Either way, you have to pay for the information.

I do, and I appreciate the sentiment. I just don't know that I feel comfortable doing that right now. Im worried about the fat gain. Would much rather try and master the cut first.

And I thought I did a decent job of modeling after that with less supplements only.

                            .
2.5 weeks thats not long enough bro give it some time. Your diet might be perfect?
You know when cutting you are gonna loose size no matter what right? The key is to not loose muscle. This is something i had a hard time with for a very long time. Now I understand that when dieting most of that stuff I lost wasnt muscle anyways.
You have to pick cut or not cut!

I gotcha, are you doin the personal training ? Or is it just a personal thing w/the bulk look ? I don't mind the fat that much but I do know what you mean and I can get real obsessive if I don't see the results in one area esp if I'm putting everything into it.
