you need to take it more then once. the anti inflammation effect from a single pill is only 4-6 hours. take 2-3 a day for a week. should have done that while you took off from the gym.

Well actually I just took it once, because the day after I wasn't feeling it that much anymore (but I do feel it when training). The doc is my dad btw so I can get medical advise on a regular basis.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posthaha. that changes everything. the doc was correct, anti inflammatory is what you need to be on.
how often are you taking it?

lol @ my country ranking higher in medical treatment than yoursOriginally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postwell sorry bro but that will do nothing for you.
your shoulder muscle is not infected. its inflamed do to overuse thus causing pain. has nothing to do with infection.
you need to be on anti inflammatorys and a natural joint suppliment.
lol @ doctors advice in your country.
Anyway, is reflex spray such an anti-inflammatory device?

yea bro take some time off. I shattered my A.C joint in 2006 and had to have a 1/4 inch of my clavical removed and shoulder capsul shaved you dont want to over due a sore shoulder anti inflammitory is the best bet and ice it 20min on and 20min off. listen to your body and know your limits wish i would of. also try some glucosamine an chondrointin it will help with joint pains and you can get it at a local nutritional store.Last edited by Gotitgoing; 12-29-09, 10:34 PM.

I took an anti-infection pill.
Are cables better than machines for this? I don't see how you would replace bench with a cable exercise, but I could replace flyes with crossovers.

Try these Rotator Cuff Strengthening ExercisesOriginally posted by Gluesniffer View PostI already took a week off, last week.
Which ones, how much of it?
I do them before any kind of shoulder movement (all upper body) exercise I usually do 3 sets of 10 or 15 and only use 5 to 8 lbs

let the shoulder rest. were you able to look into buying a joint suppliment like i told you?
chest movements hurt your shoulder just as much as shoulder movements so just stop it all together for a week.
do you have cables? use them.

take a week off from the gym all together.Originally posted by Gluesniffer View PostAllright, so I've switched from bench press to chest press, from flyes to lady butterfly and still doing normal dips.
The chest press still seems to put some strain on the shoulder, although I went light. Should I go even lighter? I suppose have to keep doing something that resembles the movement.
Also, can I drop direct shoulder work altogether until it gets better?
