  • Swimming for Cardio

    I used to swim indoors twice a week last summer for my cardio. Within 2 weeks I was shedding weight left and right. I highly recommend doing this.

    I started swimming back up again today. 30 minutes of swimming back and forth. Take a break when you're tired and than go back at it.

    Felt my entire back get stretched out and now I am very relaxed.

    So, whenever you feel sick of doing elliptical, rows, stair master, treadmill, and bike. Go swim if your gym has an indoor pool.

    swimming uses many muscles you cant hit in the gym too.

      Swimming is great for cardiovascular health. AFAIK, it is not too good for shedding bodyfat. So if you goal is CV health, go for it. If you are trying to get ripped, not a good choice.

        Oh yes, for CV its great.

        Odd, i thought swimming would be great for fat loss.

          I love to swim. Great way to switch things up.

            shit is hard lol i saw some old guys swimming for 1hour and I tried it shit 10min I was beat

              lol... you have to pace yourself. I'll swim 2 laps and take a 10s break, and keep doing it. After 20min, that break goes from 10s to 1min haha...

              Its very difficult, but worth the effort
