  • Feeling very discouraged.

Feeling very discouraged when it comes to working out now a days guys. i jacked up my back pretty bad doing some heavy deads. usually have good form but idk that one rep just wasnt on. always wear a belt even with lighter lifts too...been about two weeks now that my lower back has be plaguing me with aches and pains. Iv even had nightmares about it. Finally gonna go see the doctor. i thought some rest could help me so i took a couple weeks off heavy lifting but it seriously affects my everyday life. almost every movement i make my back just kills. im sitting down right now and if i move it one way or another i feel it. And its not only my back but most of my joints...i feel like an old man! all of the wrestling double legs and jiu jitsu arm locks are not only catching up to me but beating the hell out of me. even considering taking a few months off the gym. but dont want to get completely out of any lifting cause i would die. i got that p90x shit for free so thinkin about that.

    any advice is welcomed.

just like an athlete with an injury, you must take the steps necessary to fix it. therapy rehab, etc..

dont wait and hope, that will get you nowhere.

It happens bro, its just a way of learning and moving on so we don't make the same mistake again.

      What did the doctor say?

Yea man, having no insurance is tough, but if there is any way to see a doctor go for it. Just get it checked out before it gets worse.

Dont waste you mony on a regular doc goto a chiro. Tell them you have no insurance usally you will get a better price. 2 weeks off isnt realy a long time for a lower back issue especial if you are still doing shit.
P90 is far from shit give it a try It is ruff. Of coarse its not BB but serious cardio and muscle conditioning witch BB dont have

I have back hip issues also at the moment, listen to your body, get some deep tissue massage on the area, and surrounding areas, buttocks, thighs etc, when you go back go back light, partials etc, that's why bouncer does 225lbs on deads, he can probably pull 500lbs but knows consistency and form is more important. See jay cutler training with evan centaponi on md, he controls every movement. That's where its at

worst advise you could ever give someone. "go see a chiro".

they may be fine for some slob who has terrible posture and just needs to be stretched out and "cracked" but they do absolutely nothing for a real injury and in many cases can make things much worse. chiropractors are no better then "herbalists".

he needs to have xray, possibly MRI and begin real physical therapy with a physical therapists that works with athletes etc..

yea thats true. im just stuck on the idea that heavy weight equals bigger size but not to the point where it sacrifices form. the problem with what happened is that one of the straps i was wearing fell off during one of my reps when i was up chest out etc and when it did my weight shifted and i felt something go wrong in my lower back.

definitely will take your guys' advice. thanks fellas.

and just to add, i have had the injuries and have learned that more times then not, all that weight is not training the muscle but instead the ego and the joints. i have been that guy slamming the weight off the ground or bouncing the weight off my chest to go heavy i have no interest in training to destroy my body anymore. i train to fill the muscle with as much blood as possible and get as much growth from the specific muscle i am training that day.

MRI I doubt it! Xray my chrio does that. I would bet he has a soft tissue injury. Are you familar with "A R T" active release theropy? If you find someone that does that, That would be the first place I go. My Chrio does that also.

Maybe you thought I ment the the retards that just crack your back and send you on your way? I am sorry I did not mean that kind of guy. My Chrio understands all about the muscles and how one effects the other. He does crazy shit. my lower back was killing me for weeks he did the A R T on my hip flexor and I felt and heard my back just pop and line right back up with no more tension at all fuckin crazy.
