  • lower pecs

    Hi everyone,
I am trying to target the lower pecks, that seems to be lacking. I am performing decline dumbbell press at 10-12 reps at four sets, also decline barbbell press at 10-12 reps at four sets. Any other recommendations. Would it be wise to lowe the weights and increase more reps or decline twice in one week with a heavy session then later in the week lighter weight with high reps...

thats a genetic thing IMO. the chest works as 1 muscle when doing any kind of bench. decline movements wont hot the lower chest anymore then flat bench would.

I agree it works as one, but like many muscles, you can pull the stress towards other parts of the muscle. By this I mean the entire muscle always works, but incline bench while hit the muscle differently in the recruitment of muscle fibers than flat bench will.
