    What type of grip does everyone use? For rows and pull downs, I find I feel it more when I have my thumb on the same side as my fingers. When i curl, I wrap my thumb around. And when I hit chest, I tend to run my thumbs parallel with the bar

    For rows and pulldowns I wrap my thumb over my fingers to get a real good grip; curls it depends on the exercise; and when I am doing any press exercise I have my thumbs under the bar.

      Thumb around the bar any time there is a potential danger of injury (bench) or where grip strength is important (pullups). False grip ok otherwise.

        Bench press feels uncomfortable if I wrap my thumbs around it; don't know why.

          When i grip the bar, i put my thumb on top of my pointer finger
