Best thing first is to cut down using cardio and diet. Once you're lean, you can build up a strong core and kill your abs. With the proper diet and exercise routine, your abs will come.

For cutting, I personally like to take 1 day off a week just to get back to normal, and than spend 3 days lifting, and 3 days doing cardio.

To much cardio buddy, I'd take two days off and let the body recover. Plus how intense is your cardio? What is your heart rate during the cardio and how long is it?

DIET is what determines bodyfat levels more than anything else.

Honestly, I've never really paid to much attention to what my heart rate is...I know it's important to keep it at a certain level. I don't go to hard on cardio, I lift weights and then go on the eliptical or bike for 15-20 min each day.

You should keep your hr between 60 to 70% of your max during your cardio and have a seperate cardio workout once a day as long as 45 mins. And like liftsiron said your diet is going to play the biggest role in your get lean program.
