  • taking 2 months off of training

well after surgery i will be taking 2 months off of training all together ... i cant train for 4 to 6 weeks anyway so i will take 8 weeks to be sure i am healed properly ..

i have dropped my test to 250 mgs per week [been a month now ] and will stay that way till december ... then its bulk time running into diet for nationals .

i will take the layoff as a way of letting shit heal whole body wise ... i want to be healthy as possible so i can put it all on the floor for the nationals .. i will continue to run ghrp and gh and will add igf13 to aid in healing

2 months will kill me mentally the gym is my home and i am a person who cannot be without it for 2 days let alone 2 months ...

only plus is i archery hunt for whitetails and archery opens week after surgery and is open for 5 weeks so i will bury myself in the woods for 5 weeks

gotta be done Bigscott, no point half ass and then hurting yourself.

What is it your having done?

I approve of the meds also; base level test and peptides for recovery, seen Coleman take months off and still look massive, gotta be peptides

I hope you have done your homework and are getting it done by a renowned hernia specialist, not some general surgeon (I've seen many botched hernia repairs). The good news is, if you have the right surgeon doing the work, you'll be back as good as new when the healing is complete with no restrictions. There is actually a hospital dedicated entirely to hernia repairs in Toronto...the best in the world for that procedure:
                Shouldice Hospital Ltd.

Good luck, and don't stress the time off; muscle memory is a powerful thing. A guy at my gym who tore his pec and was off for a few months has gained back a lot of his mass already, and he isn't even cleared to train with anything heavy yet...just doing light workouts has caused muscle memory to kick in.

Honestly when I had to take 4 months off from training from my injury; coming back to the gym was amazing; you grow like an animal. I flew right past my old weight and was leaner and stronger to boot. Good luck in you hernia letting a injury heal on its own time is the way to have best-case results.

I think that's smart to take adequate time off to allow an injury to heal.

I'm in the last two weeks of a doctor ordered 8 week layoff...its killed me mentally because I've missed two lifting competitions here and I KNOW I can outlift the guys in my weight class who've been winning.

Haven't run anything but good protein and a lot of water so far.
