  • Back Routine

    Would like some help with back routine, I think I might be doing too much but not sure what exercises to pull out in order to make sure I am hitting all areas of my back.

    Pull Ups 3 x12
    Hammer Strength Lat Pull Downs 3x10
    Hammer Strength Row 3x10
    Standing TBar Row 3x10
    One Arm dumbell Row 3x10
    Wide Grip Lat Pull Down Machine 3x10

    Every other week I do deadlifts after the pull ups.

    Thanks in advance for any help given.

    Seem like a bit too much. I say add in an extra set for each exercise just for a good warm up.

    How long does it take you to complete this workout?

      I try to get out of the gym within 1 hour, I do 3 minutes on rowing machine to warm before I do anything.

        Well that's fine. If its under an hour you're good to go.

          pull ups i like for your first ..

          here is what i do --

          pullups - 3 x whatever i can get aslong as its more then 6
          wide pulldowns - 3 x 15 - stack - will add 45 plates when going heavy
          close pulldowns 3 x 10 - stack - will add 45 plates when going heavy
          bent over row barbell one week may do dumbell another week or i throw t bar in now an then -- 3 x 10 [heavy]
          hammer row -- 3 x 10
          dumbell pullovers - 3 x 10
          hypers --weighted eow -- rack deads eow

          that's my basic routine -- i switch it up now and then depending on goals and how i feel -- i train with 3 to 4 people and we get this done in 45 minutes to an hour .. there's no talking , no bullshitting .. headphones on and its go time

          i put a guy through a very nasty back workout today in 25 minutes ... he was completely spent when i was done with him

              take out some of them rows damn.I do bent rows alternate workouts with deadlift.
