On the push pull method I was reading about in the previous thread exectly how does that work? Like say if its push day I would do chest, shoulders, and back arms correct? So my questions is would I just be doing the basic compound movements like bench presses and shoulder presses or would I also being throwing my regular dumbell flies and pec deck in there. If I did every execise like a normal chest workout and then a normal shoulder workout plus triceps I'd be in the gym all day!!!

I did Push/Pull/Legs for a while and it does work well if done proper.
Push day: Chest, Shoulders, Triceps,
Pull: Back, Bi's, Traps
I broke down my regiment like this:
Push: 4 sets Incline DB Press, 4 Sets DB Flies, 4 Set DB Shoulder press, 4 Sets Barbell Shoulder Press, 4 Sets Skull Crushers, and 4 Sets Tricep Push downs.
Pull: 4 Sets Lat Pull down, 4 Sets Iso Rows, 4 Sets Preacher curls, 4 Set Barbell curls, 4 Barbell Shrugs, and 4 Sets of Rows

All pushing movements go on one day. This would include all presses, pushups, dips and triceps work. You would primarily hit chest, shoulders and tris on this day.
All pulling movements go on the other day. These include rows, pullups, shrugs, curls, etc. Primarily for back and bis.
Just add abs/core work every other day, switch between legs and deads (or include deads on pull day if you are masochist) and you are good to go.

Yep... Control's post was what got me on the push/pull split, one of my favorites, although I am focusing more on an upper body/lower body split these days as my priorities have shifted.Originally posted by jack tors View Posttry using the search
