  • Cutting - Cardio - resistance training

Hi all I am about to change up my routine as well as go "on" again for the first time in awhile and I had a question about super setting/burning out and also
about resistance training (bands). I was planning on doing my cardio on an empty stomach when I first wake in the morning.. usually I have a sip of water or 2 and splash some water on my face and hit the treadmill for 15-30 minutes.
This has worked well for me in the past and from what I read and was taught will boost my metabolism for the day as well as tap into my stored fat for energy while my body is in a catabolic state.. also I dont eat carbs 4-5 hours before bed time. A few bros of mine have been using those resistance bands while cutting and swear by them so I was curious if anyone has used them and had positive results. Would love to get some inside info as this has always been the hardest part for me.. I know this is about discipline as much as it is determination so I would love to have different ideas/thoughts while going into this

the bands wont cut weigth your diet and cardio will. using bands might be someones choice but it isnt any better than regular workouts.

Rocket is right on. One thing I've learned from SM is that diet weighs in much higher than people realize, but it's simple really. Eat clean, consume less calories than burned to cut and consume more calories than needed to bulk.

you yell at yourself in the mirror too?

so your going to use anabolics and train with bands :rofl:

if you go high intensity w/bands, kettles, etc and abandon free w8ts you will get ripped and hold some size. take a look at these workouts...

jack I use free weights also ... my friend who has been using these bands and the kettles is ripped and I really dont want more size .. im only 510 and im already 195/200 so I really just want to keep what I have and shred it up...the reason i asked opinions on the bands is because ive never used them and it does seem a little odd to me but you get a great burn with them with all that negative force.. i think im going to work it in.. after coming out of my back surgery I did a complete body weight/weight jacket routine kind of like the combat conditioning and I guess the p90x type work out because I wasnt allowed to train with weights and I got insane results. Its definitely a different kind of workout..

oh and no i dont yell at myself in the mirror.. but.. maybe ill give that a try ;-)
