  • Does anyone do HIIT cardio?

From reading on this board, I've noticed that these days it seems most people do light cardio due to the mindset of burning fat but conserving the maximum amount of muscle Possible. But as I read into it, I find articles where HIIT cardio is the best approach. And another thing, cardio first thing in the mornig on an empty stomach should be avoided due to high cortisol levels. Thoughts?

This article is older but it really questioned my views:http://http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/satter2.htm

Good point. IMO cardio first thing on empty is most effective for fat loss, however, may not be optimum for muscle sparing.

HIT cardio on a stair climber is the most effective cardio (for me). A friend of mine who is a pretty successful bb does 2 minutes of level 5, then 1 minute of level 12 (on the stairmaster). He said this works best for him. I would shrink doing that.

That's one of the Myths I'm trying to clear up. how accurate do you guys think this article is? Is Cardio on an empty stomach not the optimal route?

Bouncer, I know you have been on the side of low intensity cardio for longer durations. I'd like to hear what you think.
