Anyone doing it? thought about trying to switch up my abs/ core training routine. Never did anything with them and was thinking about it... Thoughts/ ideas????

you might wait for beast as I am sure in the LA area his customers need the newest trends. BUT IMO all that shit is just fads there is nothing special. if you use the hanging leg raise thing correct you will never need anything else. the key is use it right skip the fads imo

Nothing wrong with them. But you can do most of the exercises with DBs too. Look up DB snatches, DB clean and press, hang clean and press, etc.

I agree with all of the above. :D

I have never used it not even once.

Every once in a while I'll have my clients do crossfit type of session but never a kettlebell bs.

I would have to disagree with you in terms of improving the look of the abdomen. i have said it before but i firmly believe that "core" work is NOT something you want to do if you are going for the V shape.

ripper, i dont do hardly any ab work other then sitting on the edge of a bed and doing a combination crunch leg raise type thing.

only use bodyweight for abs, weighted crunches etc is a mistake IMO.

Im just looking to do someting diffrent I.E. Use the muscles in another way.. Example. yesterday was a cardio day..when I was done with the run I did 1000 reps of assorted ab core.. example...100 leg raises...400 combined crunchies sets of lateral planks for a total of 200 per side 300 sissor kicks.

Today was arms...then I did core abs..with a medicine ball 100 leg lifts lateral planks 200 per side in sets then a new one that crushed my ass...knees bent feet up then rock body foward to an UP position with medicine ball on chest,,when I hit up position hold press ball into air catch it then return to start position... ass kicker..could only do sets of 15 after I had done the others. Im just looking for something new to do and maybe work the core/ abs in a diffrent way, thought it might be worth a try.
My abs are strong and I have a pretty good bit of stamina to work um hard, but they just never "pop".

Just thought it might be a good way to switch it up and maybe get some results...

Not too long ago you told the poor guy his abs were lacking and he needed to hit them with weight now you're telling him not to.

yea he did bro..and actually twice a week I do Been getting on a elevated sit up board with a 45 lb plate. Normally go about 2/3 down so I have to hold /controll the stop then to the up position. I can normally knock out between 40 to 50 on the first set..then do sets of around 20 untill I get to 200 reps. works the hell out of the thighs too..

lipper I think and would bet cash money you are not doing these thing right. my bet is you are using hip flexors/legs to do most the work.
if you want abs do the hanging leg raises correct thats it you wont need anything else. well a good diet so you can see them, lol

No Im getting um right bro, Hell I was a drill Sgt and also school trained as a PT instructor in the Army for years.

Diet is pretty good man.. My problem is my height. Im 6'4 and If I get under 205 or so I am real skinny looking. I got down to 192 before and they started to show but I really felt I needed to get to about 185 for um to be "right".I felt way weaker and just fucking skinny at that weight....205 I feel lean but not weak if ya know what Im saying.

When I was in my 30's I was 235 and had the waist I do now and was about as big as I ever got. Im just at that point in age that without AAS Im just not gonna gain size. So I stay working light weight with high reps on weights to avoid injury and get a great pump. Im good with that.. not like im chasing chickens any more:rofl:.

I just wanna look as good as I can for myself this summer when I break the big 50..and to prove to all the fat fucks half my age at work this old basterd still got um beat.
