  • Pulled left hammy........OUCH!!!

    So I finally got hurt after all these years, pulled the left hammy and when I did, I just buckled and fell to the floor like a little bitch :rofl:

    I honestly don't think I've ever been hurt while doing weights. BJJ? All the damn time.

    I was doing lunges with a straight bar and 35lbs on each side...Was finishing up my last set when I feel the "SNAP" like a rubber band in my leg.......holy fuck:x

    Now I got a big ass bruise and hurts like a SOB. This happened Saturday and just got up now from the pain. Anyone know the time frame it takes for it to heal and what can I do to speed it up?

      Sounds like you actually tore your hamstring not just pulled/strained. I had the same pop when I tore my chest, plus bruising is the sign of a tear. Go see a doctor.

        ^What he said. Hammy injuries take forever to heal. Make sure you get it diagnosed right and give it plenty of rest.

          yea, you sure its not a tear? pulling something doesnt usually result in a "snap" i dont think.

            Or bruising. Muscles don't turn black and blue with a pull or a strain.

                    Hamstring pulls are horrible and can be tough to recover from.

                      thats not a bad one

                      You will recover fine after proper rest, seems strange it happened lunging though, were they still tight from rolling or something else, deadlifts or something
