LOL! you do not have a rotator cuff problem. it is torn pec and that's it. Most doctors can't tell what it is by looking at it, when I tore mine doc at the ER said "oh looks like you just pulled a muscle"

By monday swelling will go down and bruising will set in and MRI will show the problem.

And why would the doc think it's a rotator cuff?

          Exactly!
Looks like it's time to see a different doctor.

Still to early to tell but from lack of bruising in your bicep your tendon could be still attached you your humerus, which is a good thing.

Did you feel a pop when you felt the muscle tear?

I can tell you right now!

That is a small tear deep down in the pec major near where it inserts with the shoulder.

You will indeed have a small divet once healed up, but not a bad one, I would say you got lucky there pal.

Plenty of anti oxidants, careful movement but movement.

Couple week off chest, careful even on shrugs and anything that fklexes chest.

3rd week on chest day simply use the bar alone, I'm serious, slow steady easing and stretching slightly to teach the fibres into laying in the right direction again.

the next week, 22lb plates either side

              week after 45lb either side

week after 90lbs a side, an no heavier than 225lb for the next three months! trust me! been there, that is the way, don't have to be deep reps to touch chest, stop short, do mainly incline.

Its al about getting the integrity mack, getting the movement back, you will heal pretty good mate, no worries

She made me do certain movements that required use of it and obviously I can't do shit. Maybe my wording came out wrong; she's a top notch dr....she was just making out loud comments and that was one of them that kind of made me cringe.

no pop bro, It felt like I was literally being ripped open; like being skinned if that makes sense. Like grabbing a cloth and ripping it; that sound it makes? That's what I felt.

Yeah since there isn't any bruising in the bicep, looks like pec tendon is still attached.

Yeah isn't it crazy how it sounds? initially I thought I tore my shirt then instantly the pain set in and I knew I had torn my pec.

Besides the bruise I had on my chest I had this too.

I remember this pic....I know, the sound does sound like someone is ripping a piece of cloth lol.

                                The pain is unexplainable :staypuff:
