    I'm training legs again and increasing strength.

    up to 8 reps with 500lb and i dont wrap. I feel stiffness when I do them but no huge pains and was planning on moving the weight up when I start getting 12 reps with 500lb.

    Some people are saying I should wrap with that weight but I don't want to take strain off the quads

    injury vs benefit. only you can judge the risk and what your knees are feeling under that load.

    Doubt you need support at 500 but I'd certainly consider it as weight increases.

      I'll try next time and just go for more reps when wrapped

        Hell I need to wrap bad if I do six plates each side I need knees wrapped or I feel it for a long time

          ^I think I'll be up to that soon enough so I'll start practicing

          I've allways felt that by giving things time your knee joint and tendons will strengthen, which they have and I have never had any issues around the knee. But in terms of risk vs reward and at 38 years old I kind of feel like I'd rather be safe than sorry now.

            remember at 38 Mr I your recovery from injury is much slower.

            a serious knee injury would sideline you for a very long time.

            too right about risk vs reward.
