  • something wrong with my squat form

    Something is going wrong with my squat form, every time I go up past 400 my right knee hurts, lighter weight does not cause any pain. It did not used to hurt so I am thinking I subconsciously changed something minute in my form. I first thought that maybe I was leaning too far forward, but if I was doing that would not both knees hurt? On video I cannot see anything wrong. Any of you have any ideas?

    The pain is right behind the upper part of my kneecap and it does not hurt when I am idle, only when I am walking or standing up or sitting down.

      Post video I'll fix it.
      If it hurts behind knee that going to far forward
      How about what ever knee hurts push slightly out when going up. Not enough to actually move knee out of line but enough to change pressure

        I assume you push threw your heals only with everything lined up with them?
        Try on smith so you can kick feet out another inch or so you'll notice it takes a lot of other muscles outta the squat and hits direct on quads

            ROCKETW19, I have a couple videos of my deadlift I was wondering if you would look at while I recover for squats again? I have always been hesitant to go really heavy, when I do my max I always stop well before muscle failure (so I don't actually know what my true 1 rep max is) because I am uncertain how solid my form is, instead I do heavy weight with a lot of reps, do you mind looking at it and give me feedback.                   I did squats yesterday and typically deadlift on Wednesday and then squats again on Friday, I just had a video of my deadlift I took the other day so I can see my form.

                    Squats deads squats lol I think your over training bro you can only grow if you rest. You can get stronger that way but not bigger
                    Post up day and exercise like this so I can see it
                    Monday
                    Calf
                    Lunges
                    Hack squats
                    Leg extensions
                    Wednesday
                    Deads
                    Ect ect ect

                      Bro what's up with the camera man lol video was horrid
                      The first one looked like your back was rounded second one couldn't see cuz camera guy was doing jumping jacks or something but 3rd looked fine. I wish I could of seen a few more.
                      Remember shoulders back head up chest out.
                      The bar when heavy will rip your shins off lol or your not doing right
