One of my favorite delt exercises is the arnold press. Most of you already know, but for those who dont- you start with db's chest level, palms facing you...press up and rotate 180 degrees so that palms are facing out at the top of the movement. Works very well for me and not too much injury to worry about. But i also do bb presses, including bar behind my neck. Never once had any issue and been doing these for years. Hopefully it dont bite me in my ass in my older years, but until i feel it's causing any problems im going to continue
My left shoulder lately is fucked. Probably from all the benching. What are you supposed to do? Train light?
They don't say to train light. They show how each muscle in the shoulder is shaped, how it works and how is not designed to work. Pressing overhead, certain angles and certain movements beyond the range of motion for the muscles in the shoulder cause damage when the same muscle can get activation using safer methods that our structure is designed to do.

Do you do presses with a barbell or dumbbells? I had some shoulder issues when I was younger and switched over to dumbbells and that fixed it. Not having my wrists locked in that fixed position took so much stress off my rotator cuff.
Yes. Not light but lighter. As everyone knows I'm the most injured guy around here and I've done my biggest gains when I started lift lighter not heavy.
Fuck all that no pain no gain bullshit. You want pain do a 500 fucking rep shoulder workout with light weight then come back and talk to me about pain.
I see all these pussies at the gym trying to push a 100lb dumbbell over head for four reps with the most fucked up form you'll ever see and they have pimples for shoulders.
Moral of the story...if you don't know how to lift and isolate the muscle I don't care if you push a truck up over your head you are not gonna gain shit and end up hurt.
