  • Tough Day at the Gym

It's very rare for me to have the type of day in the gym that I did today. Zero pump, hard time getting motivated, just a shit day. I pushed through it and finished legs but after I finished I walked out with head low feeling like I accomplished nothing.

Been doing an upper body/lower body split for about a month now sometimes working out up to 2 hours at a time not including cardio. I figure if I'm feeling good doing it and getting results than so be it. Today my body said too much. Even on 700mgs of gear you can burn yourself out.

    Hate those kinda days.

I've read some articles talking about how you need rest days and other articles saying you body adapts to whatever training regime you put it through and you don't need rest days. I try to have at least one and up to three rest days a week.

At least you still hit it which is better than nothing. Hell I usually take the day off when I feel like that. Today is one of those days for me as well but I'm still going to do the work that needs to be done. Can't be wasting good gear and results won't make themselves. It's how you manage the down days that count.

I've been fixated on the whole golden age thing for the past few months. Arnold and those fuckers trained for hours. They just had a different look to them. So I've been kinda going for that.

I'm on the side that says to much is made about "overtraining" these days. I think people tend to be lazy. That said, it can be done. I'm pretty sure my body was telling me today.
