  • How do you bulk up the lower part of your quad??

Being 6'6, I've always had long, lean legs. SPent hours trying to get the calves bulked up. My quads are pretty thick but mostly from the halfway point to my hip.

When I'm wearing shorts down almost to my knees my legs don't appear to be as big as they are because the area just above my knee is not very thick.

Squats just seem to bulk up the upper region of my thigh. Any suggestions? I'm tired of the ladies thinking i have skinny legs until they see me in the buff. Then it's QUADZILLA time baby!!!

The second half of a leg extension hits the teardrop muscle above the knee. Particularly if you point our toes outward. Go heavy and lock out the leg at the top of the rep for a couple of seconds. You should be able to feel this. Point your toes in to hit the outside of the muscle.

I would say hack squats but only if your knees are 100% otherwise do stationary one legged lunges with either a smith machine of hold a pair of dumbells. leg extensions to a certain point or you might also want to consider partial rep training on a leg press machine and only do the first 1/2 of the movemen so you would not complete the full extension.

dead right thor do these things and you should get some great thickness in your vastus medialis and vastus lateralis (the tear drop muscle and the muscle on the outside of the thigh )in case someone doesn`t know

Front squats are good for that, also hacks.. So far, my legs are coming along with those 3: squats, front squats, hack squats.. :)

do a good amount of leg work. hit the hams and quads. i aim for 15 sets. this also has alot to do with diet. to add more mass to a muscle u need to add more calories

I was experimenting a little at thie gym with a lighter weight and going as far down as I could on hack squats and this hit the hell out of my lower quads. I'm talking your ass about hitting the floor, try this but do it first with no weight on to make sure you dont injure yourself. It does not take a lot of weight when you go this low.
