  • My 3 year progress report. :)

    I've been working hard at changing my body composition for nearly 3 years now and figured I'd share my progress. I'm 5'3", 38 y.o.


    9-01
    Wt. around 200 lbs., BF probably around 40%.


    5-22-02
    Wt. 165 lbs., BF 26.5%


    3-30-03
    Wt. 147 lbs., BF 16.6%


    5-31-04
    Wt. 166 lbs, BF 15.37%


    My next goal is to maintain my lbm and lower bf to about 10%. Wish me luck! :)

      Definitely not lean but I'm workin on it. I've sent Red a pm asking for some diet help to help me reach my goal. I suck at cardio so diet is where I need to focus.

                That took some determination. Bet if feels weird when you look back and see how big you used to be and where you're at now. One of the most beautiful things in the world is when a big girl loses a lot of weight. Doesn't get any better than that. Good job.

                  I hate it but I see it every day, there's a picture in my closet of me at my heaviest! It's good motivation. I gained 60 lbs when I was pregnant and other diets and the shitty training I got at the girlie gym didn't help me reach my goals. Finally armed with the right information on how to eat and exercise I was able to make the changes I tried so hard to do before. If it wasn't for boards like this one I'd probably still be lost and doing all the wrong things...now I only do some of the wrong things. LOL

                    You've made an incredible transformation and I'm certain are an inspiration to many ladies. Sooooo proud of you. BIG huggggs. :)

                    15% is extremely lean. You must be psyched!

                      15% doesn't feel lean at all when you're only 5'3" and weighing 166 (that puts me at having over 25 pounds of fat which is a lot when you're short like me) but I was actually pretty happy when I took the measurements. I've been feeling rather chunky lately and I did the calculations 3 times before accepting the number and running back downstairs to tell hubby where I was at. I'd just seen friends over the weekend and they all thought I'd lost weight (although the scale has me about 3 lbs higher than when I last saw them) so that's what prompted me to test myself. I'm kinda pissy because along with my other muscles getting bigger, so has my waist. I want that tummy tuck soooo bad but I'm gonna wait till I'm closer to 10%. Red helped me tweak my diet and gave me some cardio suggestions so hopefully it won't be too much longer.

                          This isn't a race, P. It's a life change and you exemplify that. Last pics I saw of you were back in October and you had it going on then. Onward and upward and for pity's sake cut your self some slack! ;)

                              We need to train together, Ducky. Afterwards we can go back to my place and soak in the hot tub while the boys grill up some dinner for us. :D
