  • diet/ routine/ cycle

Hey everybody Im new here (new to this board but not new to the sport)

Anyway I just started an anavar cycle and wanted to make sure my diet and routine was ok with it. I think it could use some adjusting.

    7am 30 min card 5days/week

8am anavar and protien shake made with 16oz nonfat skim milk

    11am 2 whole hardboiled eegs

1pm weight trianing 4 day split

    2pm gnc whey protein drink

3pm chicken breast and green salad with a conservative amount of low fat low cal dressing

7pm grilled fish or steak and green veggies (brocoli, spinich or brussle sprouts)
And of course tons of water, about a gallon

My main goal is to reduce 2-3 pants sizes from my hips and waist secondary goal is to define what muscle I have now and third goal is put on new muscle espeacially around the rear delts and biceps.

I am 5'2 150lbs my BF is around 25% and Its all in my waist and hips. Id really liike to get that down to 20% and perhaps 17% further into the future.

Please don't suggest any tuna in my diet. if I see one more can of tuna I will just die, die I tell you die.

YOu can search and read up on doing cardio on an empty stomach. As far as your diet your not even eating, other than the eggs which still is nothing, until 3 pm. Your going to create nothing but have your body going into starvation mode, holding onto the fat and unable to maintaing or develop muscle. Anavar is expensive and your just throwing your money away. At 25% body fat I can tell you right there your diet is not and has not been in check. AS are not designed to burn fat.

bro, throw a HUGE bowl of oatmeal in the first meal, and a huge bowl of grapenuts in the 11am meal and you'll do better.
also this post doesn't belong in the gear forum. just because you mention anavar in the post doesn't mean we want to hear a bunch of stuff about diet.
You'll get a better response there.
also, you must be a chick with your stats and anavar thing. In the future you should mention your sex as it is important information when seeking help.
      good luck.

you need to get down to at least 15% body fat to start any AS.... you need to eat more in the morning man... after your workout eat some oat meal, or something with somecarb/some protein...

add another shake after your workout..

Any of you guys notice that "Afox" is a girl? 25% bf isn't really all that unreasonable for a girl. However, I don't think the anavar is a great idea.

First off she is asking about her diet for her cutting/anavar cycle. I moved it to the anabolic area so she could get a better response from those who have cut with anavar.

i think all of this is do manageable without the use of AAS.

before anything - how long have you been training? how long have you been eating this way and have you seen any changes?

who recommended that you start a cycle and why do you think you need it?

Where did you get your current diet?

I agree w/ sana. You current goals can be attained with out the use of Anavar.

AAS DOES NOT BURN FAT, IT BUILDS MUSCLE.

Secondly, you are absolutely not eating enough. You should know that since you are not new to this game. What you need is a complete diet overhaul.

When you do start AAS, the true purpose of it is to build muscle, NOT cut you up. The main reason people take it while cutting is to preserve their muscle. You just can't go into a cycle wanting to cut and bulk at the same time.

Another problem with your diet, is you are eating next to NO CARBS. You are getting NO complex carbohydrates. Why? Dairy is also not used when cutting.

You either need add carbs or healthy fats for energy. Otherwise, if you send your body into ketosis for too long, you end up burning muscle for energy, not your fat stores....which I think what you've been doing to your body. How long have you been doing this diet?

Ok Thanks for the info, good stuff here. Yes I know anavar is not going to burn fat. I never expected it too. I have been lifting weights for about 7 years. I have tried all kinds of diets and found only a low cal diet has ever done anything at all for me, even then it wasn't much. and only a low carb diet has ever given me endless energy hence the current diet which I have only been on for a week and kind of made up myself and kind of know its not very good thats why im asking about it since I do not have a trainer at this time. believe it or not after years of training and dieting with several different trainers this is the best shape I have ever been in and have been in this shape for about 5 years. All my trainers have been stumped as to how little progress I make with extreme effort and strict diets they themsleves have devised. I know you guys aren't going to believe me but there are people who simply do not become buff beutiful gods and godesses with diet and excersize alone. Now unless I have had bad trainers which is possible and all the bodybuilding, fat loss, muscle gain diets I have tried over the years were crap which is also possible then I am one of those people. Hence the giving var a whirl. Hope that gives some kind of perspective as to where Im coming from.

Oh and just so everyone knows I did not post this here, it was moved by a mod. I also have a female symbol right next to my name.

Now I have modified this a bit see if its better

                    7:30am 30 min card 5days/week

8:30am anavar and protien shake made with 8oz nonfat skim milk
                    1 packet oatmeal

11:30 Chicken breast 1 cup rice

1pm weight trianing 4 day split

                    2pm gnc whey protein drink

                    3:30 Ceasar salad light dressing

                    5:00 Two hardboiled eegs

7pm grilled fish or steak and green veggies (brocoli, spinich or brussle sprouts)

you're only eating 4 times a day and that includes your post workout shake.

i would try to go for 5-6 meals.

                      i eat at 5, 7, 10, 1, 3:30, 6:30, and 9:30 - if i'm not up to lift i don't have my pre-workout shake.

i think my question to you would be - how long have you been trying low cal diets? your body may have gotten used to the low cals and think that it may not be getting enough - so you're having a harder time shedding the weight (starvation mode). how often do you do cardio? too much cardio will hinder your muscle gains. with what you're eating now - the anavar won't help you gain muscle simply b/c you're not eating enough. it may help you hold on to what you have.

how heavy do you lift? after lifting for 7 years, do you change up your routine? do you go heavy or light? have you thought about changing your split?

it is true that some people have a harder time shedding the weight than others, but sometimes, being TOO STRICT with your body is actually what's causing you to hold on to the weight.

                        Welcome, Afox. :)

I added in a few comments to your diet here that would help a little.

I also noticed that you're taking the anavar only once a day. The dose should be split up into twice a day. How much are you taking?

(Make the shake with water and add some flax oil to this meal...skim milk has too many simple carbs. Also, watch the packets of oatmeal...they often have added sugar in them, compare the label to plain oatmeal)

11:30 Chicken breast 1 cup rice
                        (use brown rice, not white)

                        2pm gnc whey protein drink
(I don't know what's in this but watch the carbs, read the label)

                        3:30 Ceasar salad light dressing
(change the dressing to olive oil (most light dressings have carbs and you really do need healthy fats in your diet in order to loose bodyfat) and add in a good amount of protein...chicken, fish or turkey)

                        5:00 Two hardboiled eggs
(try 3 hard boiled eggs without the yokes since the yokes are loaded with unhealthy fat, the protein is in the egg white itself)

7pm grilled fish or steak and green veggies (brocoli, spinich or brussle sprouts)

                          helpfull

Hey now that is way helpfull

I will make all those changes. The rice I eat is brown not white and I ate the whole eegs because I always thought the yoke was good fat... now I know not to do that.

I am only taking anavar once a day right now becasue I am still only at 5 mg which is one half of an already tiny pill. when I advance to 10 mg I was going to pop twice a day. But I think the diet is most important, the var is just a little boost.

I never cheat but somone said that may not be a good thing so any suggestions on cheating???

                          Thanks again

                          A

Egg yolks are not loaded with unhealthy fats...they actually have some good fats in them, but also have saturated fats, and cholesterol however you still can eat at least 1 yolk a day. A large egg has about 7 gms of protein in it, and 4 gms are from the yolk, 3 from the white. So, eat at least 1 yolk for fat intake, and a tad more protein. Or, you could switch to eggbeaters. They have all the protein of a large egg with little fat.

To kind of piggyback on her suggestion for salad dressing, you can also use a Balsamic Vinaigrette. Otherwise, the changes she made should get you off to a good start. I do have one question- what is the protein content for your shakes? Honestly, I think you need to be taking in another 50gms of protein/day...especially at breakfast. When I'm not dieting, my breakfast consists of this: 4oz lean red meat, 6 egg whites, 1 whole egg, and 1/2c. oatmeal. Now, that of course is not for you, just an example. But remember this:

Protein helps build muscle, the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. Your metabolism has no choice but to burn faster to maintain the muscle.

Otherwise, the changes Puddles gave you should get you off to a nice start. ;)

The person that told you this is right. You do need a cheat every once in awhile to 1) keep your sanity, 2) believe it or not, it actually speeds up your metabolism, 3) makes it less likely for you to binge or pig out for awhile.

Limit yourself to 1 cheat meal a week. Pick whatever foods, whatever day. This will help you stay on track.
