  • Winnie Cycle - Holding Water?

Hi gals. Help needed. I'm on the 3rd week of a winne cycle(oral) @6mg/day. First dose @9am second at 7pm. Desparately trying to lose bodyfat but the scale's not budging. I'm 5'3" 140 lbs. Probably about %25 at this point. Lift 5xweek. Cardio is my bike for 5 miles 2x week then into the swimming pool for 20 min 2xweek. I'm on a clean diet:

    Breakfast
1 egg white & 1 cup cheerios or yogart

    Lunch
    CK breast /1 cup pasta

Mid day - protien shake w/Sk milk

    Dinner
Ck breast w/ 1 cup beans or corn
    or
3 slices London Broil w/ 1 cup beans or corn or rice
    or
1 pork chop w/ 1 cup beans or corn or rice
    or
2 sm lamb chops (not shoulder) w/ 1 cup beans or corn or rice

    H20 intake is about 1-1 1/2 quarts/day
Cheat - 1 beer during Giants or Jets game (Bud lite)

I'm 50 years old and the goal is to get to 130lbs. Is this winne water?

    What's going on? :(

you don't need winstrol. your goal is to lose body fat, and the purpose of AAS is to put on muscle. you are not going to get your desired results until you change your diet.

my advice would be to stop your cycle and we can tweak your diet.

    you're eating 4 times a day, but i would shoot for 6.

breakfast - not enough protein, drop the yogurt and cereal and eat some oatmeal enough. eat 5 egg whites, 1 whole egg.

eat a mid morning meal - maybe a shake if you don't have time, and a handful of almonds.

lunch - keep the chicken breast, drop the pasta try a sweet potato instead. add in 1 can of green beans or large salad.

mid-afternoon snack - drop the dairy. dairy can bloat and there are simple sugars in milk. mix your shake with water.... another handful of almonds.

dinner - protein sources are fine. no corn, is the rice whole grain brown rice or instant stuff? add in a large salad.

pre-bed time - 1 low carb shake or 6 egg whites.

i'm sure RedSquirrel will be along with some better tweaks, but it's a place to start.

start using http://www.fitday.com and start logging everything you eat to get an idea of what your current caloric breakdown is. then you work on the caloric ratios your trying to hit (i.e. 50/30/20; 40/30/30).

I guess the idea here is to drop 10lbs and keep or build what I have. I understand the win is for buliding. But is it not possible to lose BF while on cycle? I think the milk is important at my age as a source of calcium - remember, the big five-oh:cool:. The rice is Carolina long grain, white. I'm also a heavy user of olive oil.

Take a calcium supp if you're worried about bone mass.

If you want to cut, the winny of all things, is not for you. Winny is NOTORIOUS for making women hold water. Any changes in BF while on cycle are fake, or superficial. With most compounds, part of your gains are from water. Water adds to your LBM, making it APPEAR you've lost BF. I agree, you need to stop the Winny. There are numerous ways to maintain LBm and lose BF through diet.

White rice has a much higher GI than brown rice. Switch to that.

Sana gave a GREAT diet outline. I would add 3oz of turkey or chicken to your 1st meal as well.

The only other suggestion I have would be to switch up your cardio. Try doing sprints at 2 or 3 of your sessions. Try do AM cardio on empty stomach.

define "heavy"? like RS said, winni will bloat you. don't try to use it to aid in dropping bf. focus on your diet. if you drop the winni, fix your diet you will notice many changes.

Ok, sounds good. The winne stops today. I use olive oil when I sautee any kind of vegtable (a little white wine and garlic thrown in for good measure). Ok, we'll also switch to brown rice/yams and add turkey to the am.

Are there any compounds that do not make you hold water?

EVOO used in sautee is fine. just make sure you're not drizzling spoonfuls onto your food. remember, each tablespoon of olive oil has like 18 grams of fat (someone correct me b/c i'm probably wrong). not that you're eating it all when you cook with it, but like when you make salad dressings and stuff :)

Yes there are but right now I think just the change in your diet will yield great results. One thing to add, im not sure if the girls have already told you but the more water you drink, the less you will hold. Try for at least a gallon a day of water. Not only will your body hold less water but it will clean your body of many toxins.

I like to sautee in water and a bit of soy sauce. it tastes just as good as using oil IMO.
