    tragic. nothing more to say, there have been 2 very good replies to this thread above (im a pharmacist myself and have a good understanding of underlying physical malformations and their impact on mortality/morbidity)

    as above, it was primarily genetic. the roids would certainly have contributed as a risk factor (increase risk of the event, not neccessarily the event itself) because of changes in fluid balance, electrolytes, and ultimately blood pressure) as well as allowing him to work harder in the gym, which may in fact have precipitated the incident.

    the person who said that this person was a time bomb was corect. these sorts of malformations just get worse with age, and it would have been tripped off sooner or later, in all likelihood. just ask all the guys who have heart attacks at age 45 during sex with their mistress.

    anyway you ahve my condolances, though that is no salve. i hope your family accepts this death as natural, accidental, and deals with this tragedy as quickly and painlessly as possible.
