  • Best Book(s) for Reference

    Hey Guys, I am in the research mode (narrowing it down really) and I wondered if there are any really good books on Anobolics/Training that I could pick up through Amazon.zom

    Here are my criteria;

    - Good, up to date Basics with suggestions for cycles, maybe Meal plans, training, etc (Not one of these advanced Chemistry books that I wouldn't understand).

    - Something that is concise, hopefully with info easily labeled (that would normally take me alot of time to compile on the Net).

    I recently checked out Mens Body Sculpting by Nick Evans, MD from the local Library. I found it very well laid out with good suggestions in several areas. However, it has no info on Anabolics at all.

    I will be doing alot of reasearch on the net but I was wanting a hard copy to reference when I am sitting around for reading while in bed.

    Thanks in advance.

    For anabolic reference try Anabolics 2004 by William Llewellyn. As far as anabolic descritpions go. As far as cycle planning, imo, the guys on the boards are you best source of info. There are a lot of smart people here. Do some reading and make some educated decisions and run them buy the guys here, I'm sure they would help.

        Arnold's book is called The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. He has put together a lot of stuff for this book and I highly recommend it. It has a wonderful collection of pictures of bodybuilders since the early days. He covers different types of training, nutrition, mindset of the bodybuilder, beginner, intermediate and advanced training as well as posing and bodybuilding competition. His workouts are brutal though and are "geared" (pun intended) towards steroids (doesn't mention that in book) users because if someone not on-cycle tried those workouts they would be seriously overtraining.

        Scorpio is right about Bill's book too. You also might be interseted in http://www.anabolicbeast.com/home.shtml

            Chemical Muscle Enhancement is so-so. If you want a copy and have no moral delima with getting it for free, you can find it using overnet, Kazaa, etc. in pdf format.

                I have not read "Building the Perfect Beast" yet but am waiting on a few reviews before I spend money on it. It may very well be an excellent book, I just don't know yet.
