  • Timing Issues With My "Off-Season" Adventures

    Alright guys and girls -

Here is what I have been up to since my show and what I plan on getting into over the next few months :D...

I have been out of the gym for almost 5 weeks and get to head back to work on my goals next week. I took off so much time due to an overwhelming amount of work I had to take on in my "MayMester" (6 hours of credit in 3 weeks - and my dumbass picked difficult courses to boot) and a nagging pain in my lower back. I am still hovering around +/- 8% or 9% bodyfat. I have kept my diet really strict and have been carb-cylcing the last two weeks to stave off bodyfat. I wish I still looked like I did on the day of my show but I have managed to accept that I will be back there soon enough and to just get prepared for that day.

Now, I am going to give myself about 4 weeks to get back into the swing of things with the gym and then I will be starting my first cycle shortly thereafter. This is where I run into problems though. I want to have equal time off compared to time on. As of now, I have everything planned out to a 32 week window of opportunity before I start a contest dieting and corresponding cycles.

Should I run my TestE at 500mgs for two 8 week cycles with 8 weeks off between each cycle or should I just go for one long 16 week cycle and wait 8 more weeks to start etc?

I have several other questions as well but I'll keep this one major question as my point of focus for now.

    Thanks....

yeah your going to be well off because you waited so long to start. You have more tools then almost any one befor they did there first cycle. I would stay away from the longer ones (IMO) but as long as your bloodwork is cool. you know what your doin so good luck

I'd say run test E for at least 12; 8 weeks is a little short for a long-acting ester. You COULD do prop, but shooting EOD for two months is no fun

That's what I was thinking but if I was dead set on running two "off-season" cycles that would only allow me to have four weeks off between each cycle. Could I just front load the first two weeks of the 8 week cycles with prop (essentially making them two 10 weeks cycels)?

Keep your first cycle simple bro.

500mg of test for 12 weeks.

Well understood and was my original goal - I just wanted to get two decent cycles in before my next contest diet started - maybe I can just bump everything up a few weeks and take 6 weeks off between???

I'd say front load with prop the first two and go for 8 weeks. Most peoples gains also slow the least few weeks anyways.
