  • DO YOU WANT TO DIE? The most important post you will ever read.

This took me a little bit of time to write up. Shead a few tears while doing so. I have been touched by this lifestyle in a deeper way then most of you can understand. Please read the following and take it to heart.

    By THE BOUNCER

I see alot of people on here talking about oral drugs such as dianabol, winstrol, anadrol, and so on. You must realize that 17-aa drugs such as the oral's I just listed can and will cause damage to internal organs such as the kidneys and liver. DO NOT take this shit lightly and think to yourself, "this can't happen to me". I have had many friends that have had to stop bodybuilding all together because of severe damage to internal organs.

Just to get my point across a little better. Here is a list of bodybuilders that have been forced to retire or have DIED because of steroid related damage. When I say "Steroid related damage" I dont mean 500mg of testosterone. I mean years of drugs such as, Dianabol, winstrol, anadrol, slin, diuretics and so on.

    The dead list:

Don Youngblood (Personal Friend and Pro Bodybuilder). Dead at age 51

Anthony Clark (Power Lifter). Dead at age 39

Trevor Smith (Not a bodybuilder but heavy steroid user). Dead at age 33

Sonny Schmidt (Pro Bodybuilder). Dead at age 49

Derrick Whitsett (Pro Bodybuilder). Dead at age 37

Robert Benavente (Amature Bodybuilder). Dead at age 30

Mike Mentzer (Pro Bodybuilder). Dead at age 49

Paul DeMayo (Pro Bodybuilder). Dead at age 38

Ray Mentzer (Pro Bodybuilder). Dead at age 47

Andreas Munzer (Pro Bodybuilder). Dead at age 39

(On the morning of 13 March, Andreas Munzer's stomach pains became intense. His gut was swollen and hard.

He was taken to a hospital. Doctors there diagnosed the bleed, but could not prevent it continuing. He was transferred to the University Clinic. At 7pm, surgeons decided to operate to stop the bleeding inside Andi's stomach. Andi came through the operation, but his problems had multiplied catastrophically. His blood was viscous and slow-moving. His potassium levels were excessively high. He had been dehydrated by the diuretics he used in the days before his last competitions. His liver was melting. A post-mortem would find that it had dissolved almost completely. Andi's body went into shock. After his liver failed, his kidneys did too. He was offered a blood transfusion, but it was too late.)

    The "Forced to retire" List:

    Tom Prince (Kidney Failure)

    Flex Wheeler (Kidney Failure)

    Milos Sarcev (Multiple Health Problems)

    Don Long (Kidney Failure)

Mike Matarazzo (triple-bypass heart surgery at age 38)

    Orville Burke (coma)

There are many more I could add of personal friends that you guys have never heard off. There health is just as important as anyone else though.

Im telling you guys right now, I have seen alot in this lifestyle. I have seen the bad side of bodybuilding. Many of you haven't and simply think its all fun and games.

Listen to me when I tell you, if you dont take your health seriously, it will take you... literally!

Very good post Bouncer. A lot of good people have lost their life due to steroid abuse. That post should make everyone think about what’s really important in life. To me that's my friends and family.

Great post. I always hear people say "name a bodybuilder that had died from steroids." Its certainly nothing to take lightly...

Ya, and there still may be some that say, "there is no proof that they died directly from steroids". While that may hold some truth, all one has to do is take a look at the ages of the guys in the post above. It would simply be mindless to not think that steroids had a VERY big roll in the death of these men.

a lot of professional wrestlers died prematurely too...

they (pro wrestlers as well as BBs) may have also been using recreational drugs along with their gear and diuretics

i knew someone would toss in the "recreational drug" spin on things. while that is true for some, its not true for many others. there are many, many guys that never touched a rec drug in there life and still had these problems. i know this as fact, not as a guess..

Not to mention masswithclass. 17-aa's were the direct cause of his death. May he rest in peace.

Glad to hear it bro. People think that since this is a steroid site that Im supposed to promote steroids. This site is all about the education and learning about steroids. That means an unbiased view of both the posatives and the negatives.

Just lurking on some of the boards I've seen alot of guys make comments about how steroids should be legal, or how pro-hormones should still be legal. This is why they're not. There's a big difference between being huge and strong, and actually being healthy.

And just to comment on oral steroids, I've never been a big fan of them and I probably won't ever use them again. There's two reasons why I think they're used so much. One, people are scared of needles but want try gear. Two, they want to "blow up" in a hurry. Both terrible reasons.

If you're going to use steroids, you MUST get regular check-ups and bloodwork!!! Burying your head in the sand and assuming you're fine is just plain STUPID.
