House, can you go into a little more detail about this tumor. Where on your body was it? What did it feel like, (hard/soft)? Who made the choice to cut it out? Did they do any kind of blood test to determine that it may be a problem?

        Not to hijack BUT...

I found out one of my good hunting buddies was diagnosed with colon cancer this weekend - he just turned 30 - had a decent diet - never did drugs etc - just came down with it....

Same thing with my step-mom, died when I was 9, she was 32 - never saw it coming......

Just my two cents - be smart - you never know what lies around the corner........

just saw this -- it was at the top of my chest -- right side -- never had a problem with gyno before so when i found it i went to my doc .

he sent me to have an ultrasound of it they could not get a good look at it -

so i called a surgeon my doc recommended -- he felt it - now he as the other doctors could have wrote it off as gyno because of what i put into my body - i was straight with them about what i use -- this is my life we are dealing with !
the surgeon did not like it - it was a small painless lump above my right nipple that just popped out of nowhere without warning -

now it did turn out to be a tumor ! noncancerous but a fucking tumor - now if they wrote it off as alot would have !! as gyno because of how i look [you can tell i use trust me] and it was a cancerous tumor -- it would have gone unchecked till it spread through the lymphs making it harder to fight and survive it .

it was my surgeons gut call that had him remove it and am glad he did because even if it had been cancerous i would have caught it in time -

what it boiled down to is i was very persistent in having it checked by more then ONE person -- second and third opinions are a must !! they could save your life

ya, gyno is usually right behind the nipple and is somewhat sensative. a bump above the nipple would have me wondering also. thanks for the detail bro.
