  • Cholesterol and Gear question

    So I am genetically predisposed to high cholesterol, to the point where my father is on several medications which he can never go off (His issue is not a diet or exercise one...they took him off of his meds once to establish a baseline and his rate just kept climbing, they never did get that baseline)

    I was recently tested and my results were (as quoted to me):

    total cholesterol - 5.16 (high); triglyceride - 0.80 (normal); HDL cholesterol - 1.30 (normal);
    LDL cholesterol - 3.49 (high); cholesterol/HDL ratio - 4.0 (borderline high).

    With this in mind, is gear totally not an option for me ever? I am more interested in my health than getting too much bigger. I am having some difficulty wading through pub med articles and synthesizing them, so any help would be great. I am 28, turning 29 this year, 216lbs at about 14% if that information helps.

    Cheers
    m

      I think you summed it up for yourself right there buddy. If you're really concerned about your health and you're not looking to get much bigger then just stay natural and hit the diet and gym a bit harder. There are anabolics that you can take that will be more safe than others but that doesn't mean they will be safe, just safer.

        Yeah, I'm decently big right now...it's just so darn addictive getting bigger...lol. I'd love to see what I'd look like at 245 or so...but maybe 215 will have to do. Cheers guys.

          It sound like you need to get your cholesterol in check before embarking on using gear, then when its normal use the stuff less detrimental when you do go on;

          bad ones are typically;

          winstrol
          test - can be
          dbol
          anadrol

          stuf thats usually ok is;

          primobolan
          anavar

          unsure about others

          mean while, get doing cardio, get the fish oils in and saturated fat lowered - no mcdonalds for you bro

                FURAZABOL (Miotolan)
                · Pharmaceutical Name: Miotolan · Chemical Name:17-beta-hydroxy-17-methyl-5alpha-androstano[3,2-c]furazole · Cutting/Bulking:Cutting · Anabolic Rating:270-330 · Active-Life: About 16 hours · Drug Class: Anabolic/Androgenic steroid (Oral) · Average Reported Dosage: Males 50-100-mg daily Women 10mg daily · Acne: Possible · Water Retention: No · High Blood Pressure: Rare · Liver Toxic: Probably not · DHT Conversion: DHT-derived · Decreases HPTA Function: No · Average Price:$1/10mg tab Furazol is a DHT molecule with a 17-alpha-methyl group (making it both liver-toxic and orally available, as you know).. As with other DHT derivatives not estrogenic in any way, doesn’t aromatize, and you’ll only have to worry about possible DHT-sides from it (Acne, Hairloss, etc…) and potential liver problems in higher dosages. Furazabol can decrease in plasma cholesterol levels, thus making it a reasonably safe oral. One month after cessation of the furazabol treatment, these altered parameters tended to return to normal. Furazabol is often compared to Winstrol, and certianly, with regards to it's structure, it is a warranted comparison although it would appear that the minor difference (the furazan group instead of the pyrazole group) has a profound effect on cholesterol levels. Winstrol is incredibly harsh on HDL and LDL cholesterol while Furazabol improves your cholesterol values. That difference is the only one noted though, because their anabolic and androgenic properties are basically the same, as is their ability to bind to the androgen receptor (low). Furazabol is clearly not estrogenic in any way, so water retention is not a problem, and thus it may be useful as a precontest drug or in any type of cutting cycle.The most unfortunate part about this drug is it’s current availability (low) and cost (high). Currently, only International Pharmaceuticals and Dpharm (if still in operation) produces this product.
