nobody currently tests for steroids in any kind of employment - the bottom line is that steroid tests are much more expensive that regular blood tests

they may test you after your hired if they suspect something but for pre-employment they wont mess with it

I know some natural BB shows also use polygraph tests. A friend of mine who is natural had this done before too.

Well I am willing to bet your friend was trying to become a state trooper and not just a sheriff or part of local law enforcement. And even in such case he should have been honest because I also have a friend who was going to be a state trooper and when asked that question he admitted he had taken anabolics in the past and just because he was honest he passed the test because it showed that he didn't lie and wasn't trying to hide things he may have done in the past.

As far as a standard urine test they test for THC/Marijuana-benzodiazepines/minor tranquilizers like valium or xanax - Opiates/Lortabs or other pain killers - Cocaine- Amphetamines/Adderall- PCP / Don't know what the hell this is lol.

Personally not a drug user but I've had to help a countless number of friends get through drug tests. Personally, I don't think it's worth blowing a good job over your drug usage.

Not true. To become a cop they do test for steroids, however that is the only kind of employment other than a professional athlete that I know of that gets tested.

No he was not interviewing for a trooper position. It was for a local city position. I'm sure telling the truth would have helped.

nope....only state troopers in NY use the polygraph to my knowledge...and even then in that part of the test they are looking for honesty...and timeframe of usage.

They look for honesty. If you lie on the paper work and then get the polygraph, and it comes out a lie on certain things, especially in drug usage, they take it further as in asking more questions and leads to a disqualification.

The thing is being honest, and also depends on the agencies state/local, each got thier own polices.
