I dont buy that. EVERYONE knows what he did the cards were gonna give him that job anyways. It makes zero sence to me but the only thing I can think of is the hall of fame.

But why now, then? He hasn't gotten shit for votes in the past, so why hurt his chances even more? Without this admission, he's gotten 23% of the vote for the HOF when you need 75%...

Have no clue why. but the only thing is HOF. They say he had no chance to get in the way he was. So what is it gonna hurt to try the other approach? If he gets less votes who cares he still aint in. But if it starts to move in his favor then it was smart.
Only way will will ever know is if he tells us, other than that we can all just guess. but my guess is HOF.

and the admission of steroids will not help his cause. it will make it worse. no athlete has ever been rewarded for admitting to steroid use. you find me one.

He has said that in multiple interviews.

                  :clapback: WTF

If you are a dumbass American that believes only a small percentage of your favorite athletes use then you are a fucking idiot.

I follow sports pretty closely - already a recently poll of voters showed an increase which would put him around 40-45% - however, those that supported him have no said since he was full of it they won't vote. He' still going to be around 35-45% next vote, just wait. And then when more and more leeks out (and it will) people may well change there view on the era. Whole thing is a mess, dude needs some test still - stop his sobbin.

DUH. Yeah, I know. I'm not the one who's been saying this should help his cause for a better chance at the HOF.

I'm just interested to see what happens to other MLB players who have been accused...He better not turn into a Canseco. I can't really see that happening, though. I'm also interested to see if this is all over Andro, or if there were some illegal substances. Because as you all know- Andro was legal up until about 10 years ago.

Can't believe how flooded sports radio / espn has been on this whole issue now - I'm so fed up with it. I was hearing earlier "Maybe now McGuire stepped up others will as well" LOL - PLEASE. Once a year somebody is gonna have a reason to talk about there steroid use and they will, simple as that. And the fact he can sit there and say "it had nothing to do with strength, if you look at the backspin on my ball when i was breaking the record, I was going to hit it out and break it regardless, God gave me this gift." Give me a fucking break he went from what .504 to I believe .674 sluggin percent in the years he used. I just wish while he was blubbering away he was at least fully honest. Makes me so upset because steroids are already looked at in terrible light due to the media and now it just sparks it all up again.

yea he's just doing because he wants a job in baseball, and doesn't want to keep answering questions all the time, trying to get it out of the way now so he doesn't have to deal later. And big mac will never get into hof.
