    Greetings,
    New to the forum, names Ed 43yoa, 5'10 220lbs. Been working out off and on due to injuries/surgeries for the last few years. After my last major knee surgery I had blood work done and I had a whopping test level of 73. My doctor put me on the patch, the gel and finally test c shots 1 x per month at 200ml. After a year of this my levels are hovering at 320. My doc is conservative so I haven't pushed it with him but at my last blood test doc agreed it was time to up the dosage and frequency. I've been working on macros and now am ready to do my first cycle since my doc has now allowed me to self inject. So here are a few questions if anyone can give me some guidance/suggestions.
    Thinking at starting at 250ml a week of test c since this is my first try at it and from what I've read that for a first try 200-300ml a week is a good start. So for weekly injections should I do the shot one time per week or break it up to 2 weekly shots at 125ml each?
    I respond well to high volume training and am thinking of trying Nortons PHAT training with a few tweaks throughout the routine since I've had success in the past. Calorie wise, I could stand to lose a few lbs (I don't know what my bf% is at the moment) should I stay at maintenance or up it a bit? Routine is upper, lower, chest & back, legs, then shoulder an arms and cardio will consist of cardio post workout and non workout days. At the moment I cannot do any hit training due to knees. I think I've pretty much covered everything, I'm going to be on the shots for awhile and can be patient and up dosage on the second cycle. Plan to do this for 12 to 14 weeks and then continue with weekly shots of 150ml.

    2ce a week on the shots is better than once a week cause it keeps test levels more stable, which in turn keeps estrogen more stable, which helps reduce sides. Im newer to this too, but i do know Bouncer suggested in a thread to do 3x a week so i just did EOD shots. I def noticed i felt better on a daily basis. Also, i started out with 350 a week and it worked but i wasnt that impressed, so after 6 weeks i went up to 500 a week and made really good gains at that dose. Everybodys different, but id think you should start at at least 300 a week. In a month or so if youre happy stay there, if not increase doseage for the rest of your cycle.

      Thanks for the info, I may bump it up. I also forgot to ask, at my age and since I'm doing the weekly shots for the long haul after my 14 weeks do I really need to concern myself with pct or since the dosage is low for a first time cycle it won't be that big of an issue?

        No pct for you since your doc has you on trt. Pct is for those who have normal test levels, after a cycle pct is needed to jumpstart them quickly. Makes it easy for you, just drop down to your prescribed dose for a few months to give your body a break, then you can cycle on again. Im doin the same thing, only im my own doctor.lol
        At 125mg of test e twice a week, so 250 weekly then back up higher in april or may...

        Also, you'll wanna cycle after bloodwork by ur doc. You dont want him checking your levels when youre in the middle of a cycle. Especially since he's reserved like u said. You'll wanna be back down on your prescribed dose for a month or two before your next scheduled test. Otherwise you'll have some explaining to do.lol

            The esters in test cyp and test e take around 3 weeks to get outta your system for the most part. So to be on the safe side ud wanna end ur cycle 5-6 weeks before your next test...good luck man :thumb:

                One more question, I have a butload (several tubes)of Androgel 1.62. Is it even worth using a couple of pumps a day to try to raise the weekly levels? There is so much 50-50 opinion out there. Will it be counter productive, or just stick to the straight shots?

                  If you count the shot my doc gave me on the 29th 200ml I'm into my second week and holy crap am I feeling different. My appetite has skyrocketed. I'm eating clean at 3,000 cals a day with an average of 350 grams of Protein and I;m still hungry. My arms and chest are also feeling fuller. Cant wait to see what happens after week 4 or 5

                    Just an update on progress. Gained 5lbs so far, been eating very clean. Basically chicken, lean red meat, tuna, eggs, oatmeal, jasmine rice, sweet potato, spinach, ff cottage cheese, p butter, almonds, and avocados. Drinking a gallon to a gallon and half a day.
                    Can I expect more dramatic weight gains as the weeks progress?
                    Im at the halfway point of my fourth week. Any other advice would be appreciated
